Please mark your calendars for our annual Educators Rising Illinois State Conference, which will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Illinois State University!
Membership is now open! Please feel free to start getting your students registered!
This is a reminder that all EdRising student memberships will need to be renewed. Membership renewal is due November 1, so please make sure to get your students registered. (All Teacher Leader memberships are FREE, student memberships are $25, and there is a resource below if you need assistance; students must be registered members if they plan to compete at the state conference.)
- Did you know that CTSO funding is impacted by the number of official student memberships? - We need an accurate and fair representation of membership numbers, both in the club model and/or the curriculum model, so that we can properly articulate just how many students are impacted by state funding.
- Memberships: Now more than ever, it is incredibly important that all of our Educators Rising Illinois participants become officially registered. If you need any help with this, there are resources on our website (we’ve attached a few to this email) and don’t hesitate to reach out! Please remember to register all of your students and all teachers at the beginning of the school year. ALL EdRising memberships expire on June 30th annually, so you’ll need to register again.
- Here are some ideas for funding options to cover the $25 cost of each student membership: - Contact your CTE/EFE systems/cooperatives in your area
- Consider seeking sponsorships for your chapter from your local teacher union association, businesses, etc.
- Inquire about district and/or school student activity fund usage
- Inquire about if your school’s PTO or Education Foundation might consider the opportunity

- If you’re interested in curriculum access, additional funding options to pay for EdRising curriculum can include: - Carl D. Perkins funds are allowed to be used for CTE curriculum
- Your area CTE/EFE System may have received funds to assist with the cost of the CTE curriculum, so contact them to find out.
- CTE Education Career Pathways Grant
- Depending on application details and data analysis, the IL Teacher Vacancy Grant pilot program might be applicable

We are so grateful for all that you do to support the growth of the educator pipeline in Illinois! We are excited to continue to help develop our future Illinois educators through the Educators Rising IL CTSO program!
Most sincerely,
Dr. Lindsey Jensen and Jill Haacke
